Free Tax Advice for Dutch Affiliates


We are pleased to announce that iGB Affiliate has teamed up with VMW Taxand/Van Mens & Wisselink to offer a FREE tax seminar for affiliates and marketeers in the gaming industry.
The past months have seen many new developments in civil and tax legislation. During the course of this seminar we will discuss and update you on the most recent developments including:
  • General developments under European Law in the gaming field, and how these affect the situation in the Netherlands.
  • The new gaming tax for online gambling which took effect on 1 November 2008. What are the contours of this legislation, and which issues must still be considered?
  • A group of poker players bring test cases to attain clarity on their tax position. Will the outcome of these proceedings affffect your position?
  • How to prepare for the newest developments?
  • What are the legal risks and how to avoid them?
  • How to best respond to all these developments tax-wise.
The seminar itself will take place from 6pm - 8pm on November 26th at Industrueele Groote Club, Dam 27, Amsterdam  near the National Monument and the Royal Palace, 5 minutes walk away from the parking garages and Amsterdam Central Station. Online Gambling ban in Cyprus imminent?

The home of many online gambling firms plans to ban internet gambling The confused status of online gambling in Cyprus could be clarified soon, with the government completing a draft law seeking to ban the pastime. Following government approval, the bill will now go forward for European Commission and domestic parliamentary debate. The irony of a nation that is the registered home of hundreds of online gambling companies banning internet casino gambling has not been lost on many industry observers; nor has the millions of dollars that the pastime attracts to the Mediterranean island. Change of ownership for Golden Casino

US pull-out follows sale to an undisclosed buyer Communications to marketing affiliates of  Golden Casino .com have thrown further light on yesterday's reports that the operation is to refuse new US members effective December 1st . The communication advises that the change in business model has been motivated by a change of ownership - the buyer is not disclosed - and notifies affiliates that "...in light of recent events one of our clients, Golden Casino, is in the process of being sold, and under the new ownership, Golden Casino will no longer be accepting new players as of December 1, 2009. "Please note, however, this decision does not affect existing Golden Casino players and you’ll continue to be paid on their losses as long as the casino remains in operation.
